You can’t fully LOVE others until you embrace SELF LOVE
I had always believed my relationship with food was healthy, but that perception shifted drastically during my first pregnancy when I gained more than 100 pounds. After giving birth, I managed to lose only 60 of those pounds before I got pregnant for a second time, three years later. Despite my efforts, the weight loss battle seemed tougher, compounded by the mental and emotional toll it took. I tried everything, pouring my hope into each new program, yet I failed to recognize that my struggle wasn’t about the diet plan but my mindset.
As a new mom navigating the immense challenge of raising a child, my own health and well-being often took a backseat. I quickly spiraled into depression, mainly due to struggles with my body weight. Looking in the mirror became a painful reminder of my dissatisfaction. Though the weight loss programs I tried did yield some success shedding 5, 10, even 15 pounds at a time—the victory was always short-lived. Each pound lost eventually found its way back, with interest, due to my restrictive eating habits.
